All grade exams taught & entered for (ABRSM & Trinity and also MTB exams)

Janna says: My teaching is very individualised, catering to each student's style of learning and personality.
I tend to play the flute quite a lot, and the piano if appropriate, to give a feel of music-making and to give a total musical experience.
I use technology where it helps too, encouraging students to download useful apps, or sending recordings of pieces they are learning, to help with practice at home. Particularly now with social distancing, technology is coming up trumps - Zoom lessons are very useful with the facility to record the lesson and for students to use that recording afterwards for practising. I also facilitate students to play along to a second flute part or even a piano part in their lesson on Zoom.
For smaller children I use games and other teaching tools, & I encourage progress by using motivational stickers and other short-term rewards.
