Lesson Terms & Cancellation Policy

These terms outline how I provide lessons and manage bookings, payments, and cancellations. They are designed to keep things clear and fair for both teacher and student.

1. Booking Lessons
  • Lessons are available in person or online via Zoom.
  • Bookings are made through my online diary or by direct arrangement.
  • Once a lesson time is agreed, that slot is reserved for you.

2. Payments
  • Payment details will be confirmed when booking through the booking system.
  • Lessons are normally paid in advance or immediately after the session, depending on prior arrangement.
  • ​
3. Cancellations & Missed Lessons
  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full lesson rate, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
  • If I need to cancel a lesson, as much notice as possible will be given and an alternative time offered.
  • No charge is made for lessons cancelled by me.

4. Online Lessons & Recordings
  • Online lessons take place using Zoom or another agreed platform.
  • Lessons may occasionally be recorded for review or safeguarding,  with your prior consent.
  • Recordings are stored securely and deleted once no longer needed for teaching or safeguarding purposes.

5. Safeguarding & Privacy
  • I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS Certificate and adhere to professional safeguarding standards.
  • Personal information is handled according to my Privacy & Cookies Policy.

6. Punctuality & Lesson Length
  • Please aim to be ready to start promptly at the arranged time.
  • Lessons begin and end at the agreed times to allow for other students.

  • I respond to messages as soon as possible, usually within one working day.

8. Updates
These terms may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in teaching arrangements or policies. The latest version will always appear on this page.
